I just bought an Adams fast 12 LS and cant wait to get it!. I am disappointed with the superlight trend as I think a better player does not want a gm shaft and 46" length. Correct me if i am wrong here. I'm glad you explained the tech stuff so that anyone reading the thread doesn't think we're crazy. I'm right there with you on the tech stuff though. It's way more fun then my job and far more interesting but adams speedline fast 12 ls a side note.
Your pretty much spot on there, though I'd say something more along the lines of the better players vs the better then average players. They're not in the better's players realm but they're still out driving the average guy on the course by 30 yards and probably shooting 15 strokes better or so. In my mind these are the types of guys who would see better results adams speedline fast 12 ls off the rack with this head and the Alpha.
In my line of work these are bogey's. The people that know enough to be dangerous but aren't quite there yet.

A LS head with a higher quality shaft will usually suffice hence, IMO, why the R9 heads with "TP" shafts are the go to for a lot of guys on golf forums.
