Download ZIP. I have added the driver to bcm57765 boot image; the driver loads fine, but rarely works: typically I can get an IP via DHCP, but can't even ping the default gateway, let alone connect to bcm57765 DS.

Comment 33 maghoff UTC Uhh Can you give me the full path to the file?
I take it that I will need to compile the kernel from source, right?
Broadcom card-reader BCM/BCM doesn't work on ubuntu ` LTS - Ask Ubuntu
Sorry, I thought you had already built the bcm57765 kernel, but now I see that you're using Ubuntu's packaged upstream kernel. Comment 36 Bjorn Helgaas UTC Hi Tobias, can you please reproduce the problem and then attach the complete dmesg log and output of "lspci -vvxxx"? Browsing Bcm57765. Re-generate initrd: sudo update-initramfs -u -k all 5.

Can anyone help me out? I really need this to work, and there seem to be a lot of people having issues with linux and card-readers, but unfortunately Bcm57765 haven't found a solution yet.
I can bcm57765 use the card one time after a reboot. Similarly as 3.
If I let the system sleep and then wake it up, the card reader does not work. This is followed by "mmc0: new high speed SDHC bcm57765 at address 59b4". Notice that bcm57765 card is incorrectly recognized as "high speed SDHC".
When the reader fails, I get the following mesages in dmesg, which are absent when the reader does work: "sdhci: Timeout bcm57765 for Buffer Read Ready interrupt bcm57765 tuning procedure, falling back to fixed sampling clock". But is there a way to patch this? I have the same problem as you, and unfortunately it doesn't look like it's been solved, although there are some patches floating around. Also affects project?

It did not change "user observed" behaviour either. Rebooting with "irqpoll" as a kernel argument as suggested by dmesg output did not affect the issue. It seems that the mentioned patch did not effect the observed change in behavior, so presumably something has changed bcm57765 the stock Ubuntu kernel to do this.
