Check operating system partition mounts. Be vmware workstation scsi the existing raw disk partitions that you plan to configure the virtual machine to use are not mounted by the Linux host. You can add generic SCSI devices to your virtual machine in the virtual machine settings editor.

Launch VMware Workstation and select the virtual machine. Make sure the virtual machine is powered off.
